LA Home Win (lahomewin.com) helps LA sports fans find food deals triggered by game results. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect as little as possible, we never sell the information you give us directly (like your email address), and everything optional (email alerts, push notifications, location) only happens when you ask for it. Like most free sites, we show ads — our advertising partner uses cookies to personalize them, and the Advertising section below explains your opt-out choices.
Analytics
We use two analytics tools to understand how the site is used:
- Google Analytics collects usage data such as pages visited, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and how you found the site. It uses cookies to recognize repeat visits. You can learn more in Google's privacy policy or opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Plausible Analytics (self-hosted) collects anonymous, aggregate statistics — no cookies, no personal identifiers, and no data shared with third parties.
Email deal alerts
If you subscribe to deal alerts, we store your email address with Resend, the service that delivers our emails. We use it only to send deal notifications — never for anything else, and we never share or sell it. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list. The signup form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that you're human without storing personal data.
Push notifications
If you opt in to browser push notifications, we store the anonymous push subscription your browser generates so we can send deal alerts. It contains no name or email address. You can turn notifications off any time in your browser settings, which invalidates the subscription.
Location features
The deal map uses location two ways, neither of which we store:
- Approximate location: our host (Cloudflare) provides a city-level estimate from your IP address so the map can start near you. We don't save it.
- Precise location: only if you tap the locate button and your browser asks for permission. Your position is used in your browser to center the map and is never sent to our servers.
Address searches on the map are processed by an OpenStreetMap-based geocoding service to return suggestions and are not stored. Some deal pages embed maps or map images from Google Maps, which receives standard request data (like your IP address) when those images load.
Contact form
Our contact form is provided by Tally. Anything you submit there (like your message and any contact details you include) is used only to respond to you.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard server logs (IP addresses, request URLs) to serve and secure the site, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Advertising
We show ads through Journey by Mediavine to keep the site free. Where required, a consent prompt from our advertising partner lets you control ad personalization, and the opt-out links below work everywhere. The following disclosure is provided by Mediavine:
Mediavine Programmatic Advertising (Ver 1.1)
The Website works with Mediavine to manage third-party interest-based advertising appearing on the Website. Mediavine serves content and advertisements when you visit the Website, which may use first and third-party cookies. A cookie is a small text file which is sent to your computer or mobile device (referred to in this policy as a “device”) by the web server so that a website can remember some information about your browsing activity on the Website.
First party cookies are created by the website that you are visiting. A third-party cookie is frequently used in behavioral advertising and analytics and is created by a domain other than the website you are visiting. Third-party cookies, tags, pixels, beacons and other similar technologies (collectively, “Tags”) may be placed on the Website to monitor interaction with advertising content and to target and optimize advertising. Each internet browser has functionality so that you can block both first and third-party cookies and clear your browser's cache. The "help" feature of the menu bar on most browsers will tell you how to stop accepting new cookies, how to receive notification of new cookies, how to disable existing cookies and how to clear your browser's cache. For more information about cookies and how to disable them, you can consult the information at All About Cookies.
Without cookies you may not be able to take full advantage of the Website content and features. Please note that rejecting cookies does not mean that you will no longer see ads when you visit our Site. In the event you opt-out, you will still see non-personalized advertisements on the Website.
The Website collects the following data using a cookie when serving personalized ads:
- IP Address
- Operating System type
- Operating System version
- Device Type
- Language of the website
- Web browser type
- Email (in hashed form)
Mediavine Partners (companies listed below with whom Mediavine shares data) may also use this data to link to other end user information the partner has independently collected to deliver targeted advertisements. Mediavine Partners may also separately collect data about end users from other sources, such as advertising IDs or pixels, and link that data to data collected from Mediavine publishers in order to provide interest-based advertising across your online experience, including devices, browsers and apps. This data includes usage data, cookie information, device information, information about interactions between users and advertisements and websites, geolocation data, traffic data, and information about a visitor's referral source to a particular website. Mediavine Partners may also create unique IDs to create audience segments, which are used to provide targeted advertising.
If you would like more information about this practice and to know your choices to opt-in or opt-out of this data collection, please visit National Advertising Initiative opt out page. You may also visit Digital Advertising Alliance website and Network Advertising Initiative website to learn more information about interest-based advertising. You may download the AppChoices app at Digital Advertising Alliance's AppChoices app to opt out in connection with mobile apps, or use the platform controls on your mobile device to opt out.
For specific information about Mediavine Partners, the data each collects and their data collection and privacy policies, please visit Mediavine Partners.
Affiliate links
Some links on the site — like "Buy tickets" links to TicketNetwork — are affiliate links, and we may earn a commission if you make a purchase after clicking one. Clicking an affiliate link sets a cookie via the affiliate network (Commission Junction) so the destination site can credit the purchase to us. We receive only aggregate commission reports — never your name, payment details, or what you bought.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from emails with the link in any email we send.
- Disable push notifications in your browser settings.
- Block or clear cookies in your browser to limit analytics and advertising Tags.
- Opt out of personalized advertising using the consent prompt (where shown) or the opt-out links in the Advertising section above.
- Ask us to access or delete information we hold about you (like your email address) via the contact page. California residents: personalized advertising may count as "sharing" of personal information under the CCPA/CPRA — you can opt out using the tools in the Advertising section above, and exercise access or deletion rights through the contact page. The information you give us directly (like your email address) is never sold.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
